What the Bible Really Says About WISDOM

Wisdom DOES!
This past week has been one of the most difficult weeks of my life. There were issues that appeared tragic and unstoppable—BUT for the intervention of God. I was in uncharted terrify-tory (hmm . . . that was a typo! But true!). And I desperately needed His wisdom from above.
God’s Word has been my lifelong friend and comforter—a place where I seek and receive not only nourishment and peace, but also an abundance of wisdom and understanding. I turned to my Bible and began to search out scriptures on wisdom.
My New Hobby
Pansy Duo
I have discovered “light tray photography.” And I am in love! These two pansies are one of my first creations. I photographed two pansies on an LED light panel–one primarily designed for artists to trace/copy images to paper. I uploaded the photo to Photoshop Elements 11. From there I tweaked the photo in Elements. Then I applied a filter I purchased from Topaz Labs called Simplify, working with the photo until I liked what I created. After that I returned the photo to Photoshop Elements for some final tweaking. And voila!
How to Face Afflictions
The Truth
Jesus warned His disciples on the eve of His crucifixion that they would face tribulations in the world. Then He goes on to say that they can take courage, because He has overcome the world, so can they! A Chinese pastor said that the teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture of the church was harmful to the Chinese church. Why? Because when they did face the extreme persecution of the communists they were not prepared to suffer. May we not fall into the same mentality. In the world we will have tribulation in the form of persecutions, afflictions, sicknesses, losses, hatred, and more. Being prepared to face the many trials the world will give us is vital. The best defense is a good offense!
Why you Can Be an Overcomer!
This is not a promise that is declared very often!! But that is what Jesus said; if they persecute me they will also persecute you.
Even with that verse in mind it is difficult for me to follow the news events of today without a deep sadness and even desperation settling over my soul—hideous worldwide persecutions of Christians, mocking and bullying of Judeo-Christian morality, gender confusion even snaring children.
God Helps Those Who Cannot Help Themselves!
The Lord is Near to the Brokenhearted
I recently injured my knee. The treatment was to take ibuprofen and stay off my feet to let the MCL ligament heal. The good news—I got to sit and read for many days!
I read a blog by a courageous young woman who is battling the ravaging effects of Lyme disease, sometimes succeeding and sometimes–not so much.

God Cares for You! Do you ever doubt it?
Do you ever doubt that God cares for you?
The downward spiral.
I have. November several years ago a couple of traumatic events plunged me into a season of anger and deep grieving.
My mother was on her deathbed. I lived in Virginia and my parents lived in Florida. I talked with my father on Saturday evening the week before Thanksgiving. My mom had lost 12 pounds in one week. She was losing her battle with a long-term lung disease. I told my dad I would be there as soon as he needed me. I told him I loved him.
God Loves New!
I love new things!
I just bought a new jacket and it is unlike any jacket I have ever owned before! It is a super soft, super light-weight, thermal jacket. Even better—it is hot fuchsia with a black lining! Never ever have I owned a jacket like this one! Bought it yesterday and had to wear it today, even though the high temperature was in the 50’s! I felt super trendy and cute! Any woman alive understands me! Heck, even wearing new under garments makes us know we look great, even if no one else knows!
Cast All Your Cares On The Lord
Cast All Your Cares on the Lord
Did you know that two verses in the Bible, one in the Old Testament, and one in the New Testament, tell us to “cast our cares on the Lord”? Psalm 55:22 says, “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.” Humm . . . that sounds a lot like 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Blessing Others
The Blessing
Numbers 6:22-27 is an awesome prayer to pray for self and others.
The Lord said to Moses,
“Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
‘The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’
So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
